Our
mission is to build players' confidence and enjoyment
of hockey by dramatically improving their skating and technical skills so
parents and players see results in game performance immediately. This is
accomplished by using sound teaching methods with timely, effective
feedback in an exciting and fun environment. Tom Rose brings 35 years of
coaching excellence to the program. He and his hand-selected on-ice
trainers carefully evaluate skills and give focused feedback that trains
players on proper skill technique and when to use them in a game
situation. We insure the ratio of players to trainers maximizes the
player's learning opportunities. We proved a safe environment to first
practice new skills so they can perform them during games. Our player's
confidence and performance soar after their time on-ice. The difference
these changes make in our player's enjoyment of the game is simply
remarkable. Only $20.00 per hour -- FULL

Body Checking Clinics Hockey is a high-speed, impact sport and failure to be proficient
at receiving a check can result in serious injuries. For this reason, we
feel compelled to offer what we believe to be the very best checking
clinics available. The main focus of these sessions is to better prepare
the player to give and receive a body check. Topics such as body
positioning, balance avoiding the check, roll checks, rap checks, pins and
others are all demonstrated and practiced until perfected. A note to all
is that we have found that the best skaters are often the best checkers.
We strongly recommend that all players who are experiencing difficulty in
giving and receiving body checks should take a critical examination of
their skating skills. Better results will be assured if the player
combines our checking clinic with a skill level appropriate hockey
session. |

European Stick Handling These are the moves, fakes, and dekes, that help the player avoid a
check. Pull-ins, push-outs, spin-o-ramas, front fake, double fake and many
others are taught at a ever increasing speed until the player becomes
proficient and can execute at game speed. |

Tape to Tape Passing The
art of passing is one of the most important and yet least stressed skills
in hockey today. Drills to enhance passing skills are repeated until the
player is able to pass with a high degree of skill. |

Prolific Scoring Scoring is
10% skill and 90% attitude. Players are taught to have the confidence to
'pull the trigger'. To some it is a mystery how a player with similar
skills to his teammates is able to lead the team in scoring. The
difference lies in his or her's attitude. Scoring can be taught. |

Defense Clinics Scoring is
fun but defense wins the game. So much emphasis in minor hockey is placed
on scoring and offence at the expense of defense. Our defense clinics are
some of the best around. Body positioning, taking the man, patience, puck
distribution, seeing the ice are all skills that are necessary to be a
responsible two way player. These clinics are recommended for forwards as
well as aspiring defensemen. |
